Biography
Mary Jo Guinn graduated from Belleville Area College with an associate’s degree in nursing in 1997. She then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1999. Guinn later attended law school, earning her Juris Doctorate and Health Law Certificate from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2003. Before joining The Gori Law Firm, she worked in toxic tort defense, medical malpractice defense, and general insurance defense.
A mother of four children, Guinn also enjoys riding horses, reading, and spending time with her family on the farm. Outside of the law, she owned and operated Parent Teacher Tools & Toys in O’Fallon, IL, from 2017 to 2025. Guinn also owned and operated an e-commerce company from 2021 to 2025.
